England men's national coaches confirmed for 2026-27

With the first camps of the new campaign taking place in September, October and November and squads to be named later this month, it’s a busy term ahead for our national teams.

The MU20s will be under the stewardship of Darren Moore, with the former Doncaster Rovers, Sheffield Wednesday and Port Vale manager appointed as head coach ahead of the new season as they compete in the U20 Euro Elite League.

For the MU19s, there is a new format for the 2026-27 UEFA U19 EURO with the second stage of qualifying rounds in November, after they played in the first round in March while classed as MU18s age group.

And the MU17s will also begin their UEFA U17 EURO qualifiers in November, with the 2027 Finals being staged in Latvia next May.

The MU18s will have two international windows in the autumn to prepare for the first qualifying round of the 2027-28 UEFA U19 EURO which will be held next spring.

Speaking about the new season's lineup, FA head of coaching Tim Dittmer said: "We've spent a significant amount of time reflecting on recent seasons across our development teams and, as a result, have refined both what we deliver and how we deliver it.

"We're confident that our new coaching structure, supported by a strengthened multi-disciplinary team, will provide our young players with the environment, support and challenge they need to perform, develop and progress throughout their respective campaigns."
