England development squads named for September window

The England men’s under-20s squad for their three Euro Elite League games in the September and October window has been named by head coach Darren Moore.

The Young Lions head to Spain for their first games of the 2026-27 campaign, where they will take on Italy (10.30am, Friday 25 September), France (10.30am, Tuesday 29 September) and Germany (4.30pm, Saturday 3 October) at Estadi Olympic Camilo Cano on the Costa Blanca.

The England men’s under-19s will play four games during the September and October international window, as they prepare for their own U19 EURO qualifiers later this year.

Head coach Ben Futcher has selected a 24-stong squad for the trip, which will see them kick-off with a game against Republic of Ireland at St. George’s Park on Friday 25 September (7pm).

The Young Lions then head to southern Spain for three games at the Marbella Football Centre, starting against Norway (3pm, Tuesday 29 September) and then USA (3pm, Friday 2 October) before they round-off against Belgium (12pm, Monday 5 September).

England men’s under-18s will compete in the UEFA Friendship Cup in Switzerland during the September and October international window.

With an initial three group games and a fourth match to decide final placements, the eight-team tournament is being hosted by UEFA at their base in Nyon.

Will Antwi’s squad will kick-off their first game against Colombia (5pm, Thursday 24 September) before they tackle Egypt at 2pm on Sunday 27 September.

Their final match against Korea Republic on Wednesday 30 September (10am) will then be followed by a fourth game with on 3 October with the opponent and kick-off time to be confirmed following the conclusion of the third game.

The England men’s under-17s squad for four games in September and October has been named by head coach Barry Lewtas.

The Young Lions will begin the window with a game against Republic of Ireland at St. George’s Park on Wednesday 23 September (6.30pm), before they head to Germany for a three-match tournament in Wedau.

There, they will face Israel at 3pm on Monday 28 September before playing Venezuela three days later on Thursday 1 October (10.30am). 

Their final match against tournament hosts Germany will be staged on Sunday 4 October (11am) at the Sportschule Wedau.

Lewtas has named a 28-player squad, with the Young Lions preparing for UEFA U17 EURO qualifiers in November.
