England squad update: Quintet withdrawn

Tino Livramento, Kobbie Mainoo, Cole Palmer, Marcus Rashford and Declan Rice have all been ruled out of England’s forthcoming UEFA Nations League fixtures.

The quintet have all withdrawn from the Three Lions squad due to respective injury issues.

James Garner and Morgan Gibbs-White have subsequently been called up and will report to St. George’s Park on Tuesday with the rest of the squad.

Everton’s Garner won his first two senior caps in March 2026, while Nottingham Forest’s Morgan Gibbs-White has six appearances to his name.

England have Spain at Wembley Stadium on Saturday 26 September (7.45pm) first up. The Three Lions then face Czechia in Prague on Tuesday 29 September (7.45pm UK time) and Croatia in Rijeka on Saturday 3 October (5pm UK time) before returning to Wembley to replay the Czechs on Tuesday 6 October (7.45pm) in UEFA Nations League Group A3.

England men's under-17s: Javahn Woode (Manchester City) has been added to the England MU17s squad for their games with Republic of Ireland and their trip to Germany for matches with Israel, Venezuela and Germany.

England men's under-18s: Jeremy Monga (Swansea City, on loan from Manchester City), Joel Drakes-Thomas (Crystal Palace), Kahlil Steele (Norwich) and Marli Salmons (Arsenal) are withdrawn from the squad to compete in the UEFA Friendship Cup in Switzerland. They've been replaced by Ajay Tavares (FC Barcelona), Reon Smith (West Ham United) and Gabriel Sambou (Chelsea).
